Creative Activity – Beach Art

We’re lucky enough to live pretty much on the beach so I’m unsure as to why this idea hasn’t crossed my mind before. Today we went for a walk along the beach and Isla collected sticks and shells like she does every time we go there and I thought it would be a great idea to incorporate them into our crafts. It also means we can visit one of the nearby forests too and make a craft page with the things we find there.

I tried to use materials in the colours of the seaside so I stuck with mainly blue, yellow, and green. The materials we used where all from our craft box, we used:

  • Blue card
  • Blue, green and yellow paint
  • Glue
  • Paintbrushes and dabbers
  • Blue, green and yellow felt tips
  • Sand, sticks and shells which we collected at the beach

Isla absolutely loved this activity especially playing with the sand and choosing where to stick her treasures from the beach. I feel like shes really starting to take pride in her creations and I can see that her confidence is growing with each activity that we do.
